I work with children, teens, and adults. Many of the people I support are navigating stuttering, including those who have tried to manage it on their own or have had therapy in the past.
I also work with children who need support with speech or language development, using a personalized approach that fits each child and family.
-
Yes. In addition to stuttering therapy, I work with children who need support with speech sound development, articulation, or language skills.
Therapy focuses on helping children communicate more clearly and confidently in everyday situations, using an approach that is personalized and supportive for each child and family.
-
Therapy focuses on helping communication feel easier and more manageable in real-life situations.
For some, that means working through moments where speech feels stuck. For others, it means reducing the pressure to speak a certain way or moving away from patterns like avoiding words or changing what they want to say.
Sessions are collaborative and adapted to each person’s goals and comfort level. The goal isn’t perfect speech. It’s communication that feels more comfortable, natural, and sustainable over time.
-
Yes. Many adults have spent years working around their speech—changing words, avoiding certain situations, or pushing through moments that feel stuck.
Therapy can help reduce that constant effort and support more comfortable, confident communication in everyday situations.
-
Not always. Some children go through periods of stuttering that resolve over time. A consultation can help you understand what you’re seeing and whether support would be helpful right now.
-
Yes. School-based speech therapy and private speech therapy often serve different purposes.
School services typically focus on supporting communication within the classroom. Private therapy allows for more individualized support, flexible goals, and time to focus on the areas that matter most to your child and family.
Many families choose to use both, depending on their needs.
-
Yes. Evaluations are available for children when needed.
For teens and adults, therapy can often begin without a formal evaluation, depending on your goals and what you’re looking for support with.
-
Sessions are personalized and interactive.
For children, this may include games, conversation, and activities that support communication in a natural way. For teens and adults, sessions often focus on real-life speaking situations, meaningful conversations, and practical strategies that carry over into daily life.
-
A computer or tablet, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet space where you can focus during the session.
For children, having a parent nearby can be helpful at times. I’ll guide you through everything you need before your first appointment.
-
Fees vary depending on the type and length of service. Most sessions range from $75 to $150.
A consultation is the best place to go over options and answer any questions.
-
Services are private pay. A superbill can be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I am also an approved provider for FES-UA education funding.
-
The first step is a free consultation. This gives you a chance to ask questions, share what’s going on, and decide if this feels like the right fit.
